|
- All teams must be land based.
- Line can be taken out by torpedo only and only one torpedo and line per team may be deployed.
- The number of hooks will not exceed 10 per line.
- Line must be retrieved intact from the point of launching.
- Fishing areas will be advised at briefing.
- The first team with their equipment in an area on the beach will have precedence.
- Should it appear that lines may contact or tangle the team without precedence must remove their gear.
- Sharks and stingrays will not be eligible for the contest.
- All fish weighed during the contest will remain the property of each team.
- The contest referees decision will determine the final results.
- Should bad weather or other circumstances prevail changes may be made to fishing times and/or area.
- Fishing times will be between 7am and 4pm, except Saturday 7am to 3.30pm.
- The weigh station closes 1 hr after end of fishing.
- A Team Member must be in the Weighing Area with their catch before the weigh station closes.
- No more than 3 fish from each listed category per day per team will be allowed for weighing.
- There is a maximum of 4 people per team.
- It is the teams responsibility to ensure all fishing is in accordance with MOF laws and regulations.
- To qualify for the Draw prizes a team must be represented by at least one team member at the draw.
- A minimum of 500 metres between each competing team on all fishing beaches is recommended.
- Gear must not impede traffic on the beach.
- Teams entered will be divided into 3 groups and each group will fish a different beach each day of the event.
- Allocation of groups and beaches will be determined by draw at briefing.
